This is actually my dream apartment. The exposed brick, tall ceilings, concrete floors, and giant windows are just to die for. I’ve always had such a thing for raw material industrial design. Some would say an industrial space feels “cold” or not “cozy” but I feel just the opposite. This space screamed my name when I saw it, and really brought out the creative inner interior designer in me.
First things first, plants. I have a total of 14 and plants and I love every single one of them. My previous home didn’t offer very much light, therefore, I unfortunately, had no plants. I had a greenery crave and vision before we even moved into the space. So, of course with all of the natural light coming in, I got as many plants as my home could hold without looking like a plant nursery. 😉
As far as decor, I got sort of lucky. A few things we had in our previous home worked in the loft space. Like I said though, I have a love for rustic and industrial pieces so that’s what I always gravitate towards.
My sofa is a Cindy Crawford, which is a brand I stand behind 110%, I’ve had a few Cindy Crawford sofas in the past and not only do they last forever, they wear so nicely! This sofa comes in a set, but because we have limited space, we only bought the sofa. It is velvet, tufted, and has nail heads. It’s long, deep, and so comfortable. I’m obsessed.
I was skeptical about the armchair because the reviews stated that it was a small chair. It’s not. It’s actually perfect size for the space I have for it and fits my 6 foot husband more than comfortably. I love having the gray velvet sofa next to the cognac lather chair, I’m all about texture!
My trunk, TV Stand, and Mirror were pieces I had in my previous home and I love them so much. The trunk is an old vintage trunk that my grandmother has had for years and years. I love the old vintage charm it adds to the space. The TV Stand is a Rooms To Go piece. Everyone always asks where I got it because it’s such a statement piece. It’s such a great size, not over bulky but no too tiny either.
As most know, I can’t commit to color. I use texture and layering to appeal to the eye the way color would. I personally like neutrals and really loved the way the living room came together especially with all of the beautiful natural light pouring in!

Great job!! You made me like the “Industrial” look. My preference always being for the oldish and antique style. I think you changed me. Possibly in my next part of life I will follow your lead!! Thankyou for the awesome ideas and pics!!
